A message for our friends & family on the East coast today

Today, we’re thinking of our friends and family on the East coast who are preparing for the arrival of or the effects of Hurricane Sandy.

In the event of a power outage, please remember that generators must only be used outside. Do not ever use a generator indoors. Generators produce carbon monoxide, an odorless, colorless gas that results in death. Generators should not be placed in garages, even if you intend to keep the garage door open, due to risk that carbon monoxide could seep into your home. Generators should always be placed as far away from doors, windows and vents as possible.
