RepairClinic is full of pets-loving people so it’s no surprise that our 135 staff members recently worked together to raise funds to support our community’s most active animal rescue/care/home placement and education organizations.
Throughout September, we donated supplies and spare change, made baked goods and trinkets to raise money and collected supplies to fulfill the wish list for the Humane Society of Huron Valley, our local animal shelter and care organization. Last Sunday, a group of staffers braved wind and rain to walk in the Mega March for Animals, the Michigan Humane Society’s largest fundraiser of the year.
“Doing so much to help the animals in the community shows what kind of a company this is,” said Chelsea Howell, RepairClinic.com staffer who brought her mother, niece and dog, Xena along for the event. “RepairClinic employees help people every day. It’s awesome that they also do a lot to help the furry and feathered, too.”
RepairClinic.com’s participation in this event was led by RepairClinic Outreach, a group of employees dedicated to making a positive impact, locally and nationally. Every year, RepairClinic Outreach supports several non-profit organizations through volunteerism and fundraising. Recent activities have included planting more than 70 trees in a Detroit neighborhood, completing home repairs for the elderly in our community and participating in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
