Here at RepairClinic, we love spring for:
- The melting of the snow and the ice
- Opportunity to help people fix their outdoor power equipment.
- And especially, fundraising for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
Since January, nearly all (maybe even all!) of RepairClinic’s 135 staff members have supported the efforts through donations and volunteering.
Dozens of staffers baked cookies, pies and other sweet treats for baked good sales. We were happy to provide cash donations to enjoy these mid-afternoon treats.
Bowling for a good cause
Last week, our bowling fundraiser brought RC staffers and their friends and family together for fun – and lots of fundraising.
Over the last few months, RepairClinic staffers contacted local businesses and organizations for auction donations. At the bowling event, many baskets brought in a considerable amount of donations.
These fundraising efforts were led by RepairClinic’s Outreach, a group of staffers dedicated to making a positive impact, locally and nationally.
Fundraising for Relay for Life is just one of the many activities and good works RepairClinic’s Outreach group is involved with every year.
We also regularly fill the pantry shelves at Hope Clinic, a local non-profit organization that supports families in our community through . Last year, we made the holiday celebrations brighter for several families in need, fundraised to support local animals and shelters, planted 70 trees in Detroit – among many other activities.
