RepairClinic.com® employees and friends to bring know-how and energy to help elderly and less fortunate Canton residents

Canton, Mich. – RepairClinic.com employees and friends decided that a smile from an elderly or less fortunate person this Saturday will make their hard work worth it.

In lieu of sleeping in this Saturday, April 28, they will pay it forward by joining Canton’s annual “Christmas in Action” event to provide free home repairs for area seniors and disabled residents.  RepairClinic’s experts will fix appliances while others will be involved with roofing and exterior repairs, painting and cleaning projects for homeowners.

“For us, it’s a Saturday very well spent,” said Joey Gagnon, a RepairClinic vice president. “We’re grateful to Christmas in Action of Wayne County for the opportunity to put our skills to use to help those who need it most in the Canton community.”

The company’s participation is led by RepairClinic Outreach, a group of employees dedicated to making a positive impact, locally and nationally. This is the second time RepairClinic has volunteered at “Christmas in Action.” It’s one of several causes that RepairClinic and the Outreach group are supporting this year with volunteerism and other donations.

RepairClinic.com has been a Canton-based business since its founding in 1999.

Christmas in Action of Wayne County (CIA) was formed as a 501c3 non-profit organization in 2005.  Supported by the Canton Township board of directors, CIA Wayne is modeled on the national Christmas in Action organization (christmasinaction.org).  CIA provides free home repairs for elderly, disabled and low-income homeowners.  Volunteers provide repairs to make the home safe and functional, while improving the community as a whole.  The actual repairs take place on a single event day, which is scheduled for the last Saturday in April each year.
